I frequent gleebooks and can't say I have ever had a bad experience in any way. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful, they have a wide range of stock and if they don't have something in stock ordering a book in is really fast and pickup is super easy. Its so easy to support an awesome local business when they are as great as this one.

I love this place so much. As a local, this has become a star in my local favourite spots. Not only do they have such a vibe, but they also have a cafe upstairs and I often go and read their second hand books available upstairs with a matcha. I have never felt unwelcome at this place even though I go to browse most days. Almost want to gate-keep this spot but bookstores and libraries need to thrive so here's me giving the five stars! Books are becoming expensive so I'm always attempting to go secondhand but they have a big selection of new and old, contemporary and classics, etc.

Well classified books-e.g. Australian literature, science fiction, cook books, etc.- sorted alphabetically. It was quite easy to find books which I was looking for and there were some recommendations and reviews so that I could find some new interesting books! I liked this clean, tidy and full of knowledge place.

The still recently-refurbished store (which was a painful throught covid process, but a worthwhile wait) is purpose built for author events as well as retail. The range of new books is excellent. Love the cafe with lift at the back for accessibility, along with a section of secondhand books too. Everything you remembered from the old Gleebooks is there, but with new look.

Walk into the old post office in Glebe, it's now the new Gleebooks. Offering a broad range of fiction, non fiction, great children's books, and more. It's about exploring and finding a delightful surprise. The staff will also help: from finding the Booker prize, or the Japanese academic writing on Marx in the anthropocene. A great gem in Glebe. Travel there, worth the trip.

Last Friday I went to the launch of a book... I felt so welcome from the girls in the store itself,then on the second floor there was a cafeteria,that team also were so kind and guided me to the 3rd floor where it was the event. As soon as I entered it was full of smiles, glasses of wine and a big audience. It was an unforgettable evening I even got to meet a TV news presenter and I made 2 new friends. I strongly recommend this book store, you'll simply love it!

Arrived early for an open mic night at the place next door but the place next door called the poetry jam off at the eleventh hour and I was left stranded in Glebe, which isn't such a bad thing. So, walked into the open and welcomly so Gleebooks. Plenty of good service, plenty of enthusiasm for what is, sadly, not what it used to be. Bookstores were such amazing places pre internet but now they are fewer and further between. Still, there were some beautiful things here ... Books of art as thick as your wrist, wider and clad in plastic. Printed on high GSM. Almost bought the magnificent edition of Francis Bacons work and found a lovely section on Australian poetry. You cannot browse Gleebooks without going upstairs. This for me at least is where bookstore becomes emporium. Mr Magorium?

Went to a book launch here and it was great! Also loved that the event area was wheelchair accessible, which isn't the case at some other stores.
